AutoS mode: Device adjusts both IPAP (inspiratory) and EPAP (expiratory) pressures automatically, based on detecting apneas.
In S mode: fixed IPAP & EPAP set by clinician; responds to inhalation/exhalation.
In S/T: Same as S, but if the patient doesn’t initiate a breath within a set time, the device triggers a breath (“timed” breath).
